Their services
Every year, Shelter provides free support to millions of people across the UK who are struggling with bad housing or homelessness. Their trained advisors only ask for information that they need to help solve your problems, and will not share this with anyone without your permission. Their services include:
- Emergency phone service - for people who are in urgent need of housing advice, for example they have nowhere to sleep, or at risk of homelessness or harm
- Face to face advice service - for people who need a 1:1 session with an advisor / solicitor following an initial assessment by phone
Get in touch
If you are not confident in English, ask someone who can speak English to help you call Shelter or accompany you to your appointment.
- For non-urgent advice - call the booking line to speak to an advisor. If needed, they will book an appointment and advise you which documents to bring on the day
- For urgent advice - call the emergency helpline
Check before you visit - many organisations are running remote or limited services because of Coronavirus
